Postdoctoral Scholar at University of Central Florida (UCF)
2021--2023
Robb was a postdoctoral scholar researching diffusion of innovations, civic engagement, and information seeking behaviors of citizens within the context of local government and city transparency. He was also the director of the Winter Park Sunshine Project, a transparency initiative that works to develop civic literacy among students and community members in the greater Orlando area.
Assistant Professor at County College of Morris
2018--2021
His first appointment after completing his PhD brought him to the public speaking classroom where he was faced with numerous students battling incredible communication anxiety. Here, he developed a system for working with students with heightened anxiety and helped to establish space for students to work through their anxieties with a combination of breathing exercises and theater techniques. This work continued when classes were brought online in early 2020 where his communication classes helped students gain a greater appreciation for the new classroom environment.
